The DAC is a group of approximately 30 - 40 students who are passionate about the overall advancement of the student body of Rutgers Business School: Undergraduate - Newark (RBS: UG-Nwk). The DAC (not a student club) is composed of representatives from the freshman, sophomore, junior and senior classes reflecting the diversity of the RBS:UG-Nwk student body. This Council is responsible for communicating thoughts, ideas, and concerns to the Dean of RBS: UG-Nwk. The primary purpose of this group is to serve as the voice of the RBS: UG-Nwk student body, make recommendations on ways to increase student learning, student community, the RBS: UG-Nwk brand and improve student life at RBS: UG - Nwk. The DAC is also responsible for co-sponsoring and promoting social, cultural, and academic events, as well as workshops with the RBS: UG-Nwk Dean's Office to improve the quality of life for RBS: UG - Nwk students.
The Council meets at least monthly with the Dean of RBS: UG-Nwk to discuss various issues related to both RBS: UG-Nwk and the Rutgers - Newark campus. The meetings are hosted by the Dean of RBS: UG-Nwk who requests input, opinions, and recommendations from the variety of student members who express different aspects of student interest. DAC members are well-informed on issues at RBS: UG-Nwk and the Rutgers-Newark campus and they are expected to share this information with other students before and after meetings to gauge and convey student opinion. These students also represent and serve RBS: UG-Nwk in various other capacities as requested by the RBS: UG-Nwk Dean's Office.
